Desert Midwinter Pistol Championships

The site's been updated to the latest software.  You may notice some changes as many of the parts were also updated.   I still have some cleanup to finish.  Please send an email to manager AT desertmidwinter.com if you find something is broken.

Changes include:

• Addition of a Photo Gallery.  See the link in the menu.  Before this, the photo galleries were only visible if you were lucky to find the article linking them.   We're still experimenting with the new gallery tool, but it seems we'll be able to allow select photographers (those with the special "DMW Media Pass" )  to post photo galleries on the site.
• We can embed videos in news articles now.   Check back soon for a video or two from this year's match.
• Addition of a Downloads section.  This is where we can put PDF documents of the match results if you want to save a copy.
• The Calendar is updated to a newer, slicker version.   There are features here I've not explored yet.
• The Forum is updated from FireBoard to the updated product called Kumena.
• You may notice the login bar below the target frames is gone.  An unfortunate casualty of the upgrade.  Use the login form on the left side of the screen now.
• Also on the black bar below the header photo, you'll find some buttons "A+", "A-" and "R" – these increase the font size of the site, decrease the font size, and restore the original size respectively.
• Addition of Tags and "Tag Clouds."   Tags are simple labels attached to each article.   If you were to click on "2010" below one of the DMW articles, you'll see a list of all articles tagged with the term "2010."  Think of this as a handy cross-reference.
