PHOENIX ROD & GUN CLUB PISTOL DIVISION2007Regional Pistol Championship April 21 & 22, 2007 LOCATION: Phoenix Rod and Gun Club. Phoenix, Arizona 915 W. Olney (South end of 7th Ave.) SPONSORED BY: Phoenix Rod and Gun Club ELIGIBILITY: Open to any member of the National Rifle Association. NRA membership Applications will be available at the range on the day of the match. RULES: Current NRA Conventional Pistol Rules will govern. SOUVENIR AWARD: A Souvenir award will be issued to each competitor. CLASSIFICATION: The NRA classification system will be used in all matches. Individuals who have not been classified will fire in the Master Class, Rule 19.6 (Assigned Classifications may be used.) CATEGORIES & CLASSES IN INDIVIDUAL MATCHES: Separate class awards will be given in each of the (3) Categories: Civilian, Service, and Police subject to the conditions of the award schedule. Members of the Active Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, and National Guard and Reserve components will make up the Service Category. Members of Federal, State, County, Municipal law enforcement groups and Industrial Police comprise the Police Category. All others will be considered Civilians (Rule 2.2). If there are less than five entries in any category within a class, they will be combined with other entries in another category within the same class. If there are less than five entries after combining all categories of a class, there will be NO AWARDS provided in that class and all competitors in the lower class will be moved to their respective category in the next higher class. If the five-competitor minimum required for award purposes has still not been fulfilled, competitors will be moved up in class and category until there are five or more in a class and category. A class or category will not be combined downward. If there are less than five High Masters, they will compete for MATCH WINNER only. CHALLENGES: A CHALLENGE FEE of $1.00 will be charged for each challenge made. See NRA Rule book for correct procedure. ENTRIES: Entries in an individual event will be made by using the enclosed REGISTRATION ENTRY CARD accompanied by check or money order, payable to Phoenix Rod & Gun Club. CIRCLE the number of each event in which you wish to fire. Be sure to indicate your correct NRA CLASSIFICATION, CATEGORY and NRA membership ID NUMBER. Squadding tickets to INDIVIDUAL MATCHES will be issued from the Statistical Office and will be available the day prior to the first firing day. Competitors must call for these tickets as soon as they arrive. NRA membership cards and classification cards must be exhibited before issue of squadding tickets. Squadding information for team matches will be announced on the range. A competitor who fails to obtain his squadding tickets or who fails to present himself at the proper firing point when his relay is called may lose his right to compete in that event. TIME OF FIRING: Firing will commence each day at 8:00a.m. Teams will consist of four (4) firing members, one alternate, a captain and/or coach, and will represent either a club affiliated with NRA (Rule 2.11 or 2.11.1), a law enforcement agency (Rule 2.14), a regular service or reserve unit (including the National Guard-Rule 2.13). The team captain and/or coach may be firing members of the team. State Association Teams may enter the team matches (Rule 2.12). Team members MAY NOT change teams.
